Our Neighborhood

RE:Purpose is located in the new artMARKET at Building Character at 342 N. Queen St. in historic downtown Lancaster, PA.  Building Character, an architectural salvage store, operates artMARKET which consists of about 30 different vendors in gallery-style setting. ArtMARKET is one of the most exciting new treasures to join the downtown Lancaster scene, offering jewelry, antiques, live music events, photography, paintings, and much more… even the kitchen sink!

RE:Purpose and the rest of the vendors in artMARKET are located just a few steps down the brick-arched alley beside Onions Cafe, another jewel of this neighborhood, offering an eclectic mix of American and Korean cuisine at affordable prices.

Spend a day browsing all of the one-of-a-kind shops on the 300 block of N. Queen St. Just a few of the favorites are Zap & Co, a vintage clothing and accessories store which is frequently tapped by Hollywood blockbusters such as Titanic to create their costumes, Rachel’s Cafe and Creperie, offering crepes, coffee and more in a laidback Parisian atmosphere, and Mommalicious and Smilin’ Gal, two more vintage shops that share space and take you back in time.
